A nice steaming pile of Gow Gee?
So everyone around us speaks Cantonese. It really isn’t the language to be learning. I should learn Mandarin (it is more widely spoken etc) But Cantonese is what everyone speaks so it is easiest to practice.
Well I like these little steamed dumplings called Jiaozi. The other day I wanted to be impressive so I asked for steamed ‘Gow Zee’, the people around me all laughed. It seems that I ordered steamed dog poop. The proper pronunciation is closer to “Gow Gee” ¶ 8:34 AM
