RFID, Cards, Video Games

I walked into an arcade here in Hong Kong, I saw something that must have been going on for a while but is new for me. Video games that integrate playing cards and a RFID memory card. So insert your master card into the system, then you take your player cards and can set your players up on the 'field' by laying them on the reader pad.
Then you as you play points get added or subtracted on your master card that you can use in the game or future games.
What is cool about this, is that the cards are read on the filed as they are played and moved around. You then use button's, joysticks to play as well. What is being shown is a Soccar game. But my favorite is a real time strategy game where several players can move armies (represented by their cards) on large virtual battles.

Man Mo Temple
It's the Labor Day national holiday in China & Hong Kong. one of the few
holidays for mainland besides Chinese New Year. Elwin & I are spending the
day exploring Tai Po. An old rural town near the Chinese border. We went
through a wet market with fish, pork & beef on the first floor & vegetables
on the second. Outside are the main streets lined with shops. Ate some
sugar buns filled with red bean paste. Yum. Bumped into this buddhist
temple in the middle of the busi-ness of the street markets. Even though
this a communist holiday in general, the temple is full of burning incense
& kow towing buddists.
